Senior QA Engineer - Verscom - Pakistan

Job Description

We are currently seeking a talented Senior QA Engineer with deep experience in software development.
 

• Responsible for creating/assisting in test plan phase work and process engagement model
• Work with development team to analyze test requirements, plan test objectives & design test processes and test estimates
• List/extract test scenarios/conditions from business requirements, design/functional specifications or any other source specified for the purpose
• Assist in planning, identifying risks, analyzing errors, and dealing with faults or failures
• Develop testcases and scripts in line with test scenarios
• Execute test cases, predict results and record test results
• Monitor and re-test fault correction required in all stages of the project life cycle including systems testing
• Record results, log and tracking defects to resolution
• Fullfills needs for document creation (User Manuals, Topology drawing etc) acting as the Technical Writer.
• Willing to travel to the HQ in Turkey in case of the project needs

 

Desired Skills & Experience

• Good knowledge in web & mobile applications testing techniques
• Good at problem solving, having a methodical and thorough approach to work
• Any recognized Software Quality / Testing certification
• Thorough understanding of software engineering and design principles
• Experienced in QA tools and techniques, Unit Testing, Black Box, Regression Testing, Load& Performance Testing, bug tracking systems, test design and execution
• Experienced in Knowledge of Test Metrics and the implementation of these metrics.
• Good understanding & experience of Quality assurance Process (Creating &Managing Test Plan, Test Cases and Bugs Reporting)
• Ability to define Complex Functional and Usability Test Cases
• Experienced in building client & server side test automation
• Advanced Telecom Knowledge (VOIP/SIP)
• Advanced Linux Knowledge
• Experience in Perl, Python, Bash, and other Scripting languages is a plus
• Familiar with the Java Technologies, Mobile Technologies, Oracle & MySQL
• Experience in development of unit / regression tests is desirable
• Excellent inter-personal, team working, and verbal/written communication skills
• A good team player who is willing to take initiatives and assume additional responsibilities
• Enthusiastic approach for quality and continuous improvement of processes
• Ability to grasp new technologies to provide effective solutions
• Fast adaptation to company environment and ambitious for self-improvement.
